Theatre
Gijs De Corte
Gijs De Corte (Ghent, 1999) is a Belgian actor. He trained at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (ATKA), and previously studied at the MuDa Atheneum for Performing Arts and De ! Kunsthumaniora in Antwerp, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Acting in 2021.
On screen, he is best known for his supporting role as Hugo in the dystopian VRT1 series ‘Arcadia’ (2023–2025), as Tanguy Leroy in ‘Assisen: De Insulinemoord’ on Play4 (2024), and as Boris in the Streamz Original ‘Oh, Otto!’ (2025). His other screen credits include ‘Huidhonger’, ‘Flikken Maastricht’, ‘Single Bells’, ‘Otis’, ‘Dansaertvlamingen’, and ‘Bathroom Stories’.
On stage, his theatre work includes Hector Berlioz in ‘De Fantastische Symfonie’ (Antwerp Symphony Orchestra) and Donald in ‘The Boys in the Band’ (InTeam), alongside productions such as ‘Onze Kersentuin’ (Karavaan/Makershuis Alkmaar), ‘Liegebeesten’ (Theater Sonnevanck), and ‘Jonges’ (Tryater).
